In addition, before making their trips, driver partners must confirm daily a list of measures in which they undertake to take precautions such as hand cleaning, the use of protective elements, vehicle ventilation, social distancing measures and sanitation. vehicle.

Driver-partners in Tijuana, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Mexico City can go to the Sanitation Centers located in those cities to sanitize their vehicles at a preferential price, as well as receive a kit of personal protection elements.

With this initiative, Uber joins DiDi as the private transport platform that supports the vaccination campaign with some discount or a free trip. In the case of DiDi, the platform announced in January that it would give away 500 thousand trips to vaccination centers.

“The Uber platform can also help educate the public about the vaccine. Starting this week, we will be sharing official information with our community, in an accessible way, to help increase awareness and adoption of vaccination, ”added González.
