A five-month-old baby died after falling from her mother’s arms while, along with her partner, they tried to board a train in the municipality of El Carmen, Nuevo León

The baby was identified as Emma Deyanira “N”, and slipped from the arms of her mother, Lourdes “N” of 25 years of age, who tried to board the moving train, along with her husband, Josué Alberto “N” of 22 years of age.

According to witnesses, the mother slipped while climbing the stairs and the girl fell, while the father jumped to try to rescue her, but the speed of the train made it impossible to avoid the tragedy.

The mother and father were injured and had to be taken to the University Hospital for medical attention while the body of the girl was taken to the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) for legal procedures.

The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, and it is known that this family tried to reach the United States requesting humanitarian aid due to the economic and security conditions in their country.
