The Government of Nuevo León is maintaining a permanent security deployment on the state’s highways as part of the Total Presence strategy, ahead of the final stretch of the vacation period.
Secretary General of Government, Miguel Ángel Flores Serna, explained that the operation is being led by the Highway Division, in coordination with the Air, Armored, Territorial Control, and Technology and Intelligence Divisions.
As part of the strategy, police checkpoints, patrols, and surveillance in strategic areas along the state’s main highways remain active, with the goal of preventing incidents and providing safe conditions for those traveling on these roads.
The official emphasized that this deployment has been essential to strengthening the security of visitors to Nuevo León and residents taking advantage of the vacation period.
“The effectiveness of the new Civil Force is reflected in the results of the National Census of State Public Security, which places the agency first in: police promotions; cadet certification nationwide; confronting organized crime; air operations; and the seizure of long firearms.”
Flores Serna stated that highway security will be strengthened through coordination among the three levels of government, particularly during the return of vacationers and the conclusion of the holiday period.
