Like something out of an action movie, a woman hiking in La Huasteca National Park was rescued using a helicopter and high-altitude rescue experts.
The impressive images were shared by the agency itself, which stated that the woman, identified only as Dulce, suffered an injury after falling.
“The rescue was carried out by members of the Nuevo León Civil Protection (PCNL) with support from the Nuevo León Civil Protection helicopter, successfully completing the aerial extraction maneuvers.
“The person was rescued and transported for medical evaluation. Personnel from the PCNL Mountain Rescue Brigade and Santa Catarina Civil Protection also participated in the operation,” the state agency detailed.
The aerial rescue was necessary due to the difficult terrain, as well as the weather conditions that have prevailed in Nuevo León for the past few days.
According to local news outlets, the woman was transferred to the Mexican Social Security Institute’s (IMSS) Zone 21 Hospital in Monterrey, where she will be treated for her injuries.
