During a tour of the state’s border area, Governor Samuel García asserted that the La Gloria-Colombia Highway is “the safest in Nuevo León,” while celebrating an 80 percent reduction in high-impact crimes in the state.
During a tour of this highway, García Sepúlveda emphasized that the road’s security includes Civil Force detachments with drones, helicopters, and more than 350 personnel deployed at locations such as Vallecillo, Camarón, and the customs office itself, which now has more than 800 personnel and a large detachment with a helipad. He encouraged the people of Nuevo León to use this highway.
The state governor shared that the state’s northern region, once overlooked, has been transformed thanks to this 100-kilometer road that connects directly to the Colombian customs office. He emphasized that this highway was built in just two years with an investment of 5 billion pesos, despite “political intrigue.”
