Nuevo León will reinforce the security of its highways and roads with more than 600 elements of a new highway surveillance division that will be run by the state police Fuerza Civil.
The above was announced by Gerardo Escamilla, head of the corporation, who established that they will work in coordination with the National Guard.
The division will be in charge of the surveillance of the state highway network of Nuevo León and will support the National Guard in the surveillance of federal roads such as the highways to Reynosa, Nuevo Laredo and Matehuala.
“Next Friday we are going to graduate 120 new police officers, a generation that we have been preparing for the surveillance specifically of the highways of Nuevo León, reinforcing the Muralla Operation,” said Escamilla.

He also acknowledged that on Saturday a family was robbed on the border with the neighboring state of Tamaulipas and they were also informed of the sighting of armed people, so surveillance in the area was redoubled.
“These are events that we cannot allow to happen in Nuevo Leon,” he warned.
He stressed that in response to the report of the theft of said vehicle, the reaction and coordination of the federal and state authorities was efficient and at all times they acted quickly by land and air.
He affirmed that control of the roads is maintained with air and land reinforcement.
“Our objective is total coverage and presence in the state of Nuevo Leon, so that the citizen always feels protected because there is the presence of the rule of law, regardless of whether you are in the metropolitan area or in the rural area,” he said.
On the other hand, the head of Fuerza Civil invited travelers to use the Colombia-Nuevo Laredo Bridge, in the municipality of Anáhuac, which is guarded by Fuerza Civil and allows crossing into Texas without leaving Nuevo León.
