Nuevo León prosecutor investigates dissappearance of Monterrey family in Tamaulipas

A family from Monterrey travels to San Antonio and disappears on their way back to Nuevo León.

The last time a family member had contact with them by phone, the three members of the Sauceda Espinosa family reported that they were on the International Bridge II in Laredo, Texas. However, they have not returned home.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas.- “A family from Monterrey traveled to San Antonio last Thursday, March 16, then they disappeared on their return home, it is most likely that they were kidnapped in the Mexican city of Nuevo Laredo”, the Nuevo León Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.

The disappeared are Carlos Sauceda Lara, 62 years old; Nancy Espinosa Ledezma, 59, and Edson Alan Sauceda Espinosa, 25.

“They were on their way back from San Antonio Texas but never made it home”, the Nuevo León Prosecutor’s Office.

The last time the Sauceda Espinosa family had contact with a relative was on March 21, at 3:08 in the afternoon, when they mentioned that they were going to cross the International Bridge II in Laredo, Texas, and they were already on their way back to Escobedo, Nuevo León.

Although their relatives try to call their cell phones back, it directs them to voice mail, in all three members of the Sauceda Espinosa family’s mobile devices.

The Mexican authorities are placing the disappearance of the victims on the Nuevo Laredo (Mexican) side of the border, in the state of Tamaulipas, it is not clear if this is official information issued by the State Investigation Agency on the Mexican side or not.

The Sauceda Espinosa family lives in the municipality of Escobedo, Nuevo León.
