The Secretary of Regional and Agricultural Development of the State of Nuevo Leon, Marco González, presented a highway plan to Texas officials.
The Government of Nuevo León presented its ‘Master Highway Plan’ to the Texan authorities, as well as the relaunch of Puerto Colombia, at the Texas Cross-Border Trade Advisory Committee.
Present at this meeting were Jane Nelson of the Texas Secretary of State and Director of Transportation Caroline Mays.
On behalf of the state governor, Samuel García, the secretary of Regional and Agricultural Development of Nuevo León, Marco González, appeared at the meeting, where he commented that this “Master Plan” will connect the Mexican entity from south to north and unite all of Mexico with the United States.
He also assured that in this way connectivity with Laredo, Texas, and the entire American nation headed by Joe Biden will be strengthened.
He also pointed out that Nuevo León will seek to consolidate itself as the “fastest and safest border port in all of Mexico” with these road works.
This ‘Master Plan’ has the objective of improving the integral connectivity of the state governed by García through the Interserrana Highway, the Periférico, the modernization of the Monterrey – Colombia Highway, and the La Gloria – Colombia highway.
González also stressed that the administration of the Movimiento Ciudadano governor will continue with its actions so that Nuevo León and Texas continue to be the “best region to do business in all of America.”
The modernization of Puerto Colombia will cost more than 400 million pesos, and it will be the only border port with the presence of the state police, the National Guard, and the Mexican Army within its facilities.
