A Facebook user is warning about suspected criminals attempting to stop vehicles using unmarked white cars and trucks on highways in Nuevo León.
According to her account, she has been harassed at least three times:
1️⃣ Laredo–Monterrey Highway (second Mamulique hill)
A white RAM truck activated its flashing lights and two men got out, saying they “had to check her.” When she refused, they confessed to being part of a cartel and snatched her cell phone. After a struggle, she managed to get it back and continued on her way.
2️⃣ Two weeks later, same area | 8:00 a.m.
A white Nissan Frontier tried to stop her. This time, she started recording, and the men drove off.
3️⃣ Saturday, November 22 | Monterrey-Cadereyta Peripheral Highway (before the Apodaca tollbooth)
A white Jetta flashed its lights to try to get him to stop. When they noticed he was recording them, they disappeared.
📢 His recommendation:
Be alert for white vehicles stopped on the side of the road without official markings.
If they try to stop you using lights or flashing lights:
👉 Don’t stop.
👉 Start recording.
👉 Find a safe spot or an official checkpoint.
“DON’T STOP. If they start following you or flashing their lights, record… and they’ll probably give up,” he wrote.
