The World Cup is one of the largest events in the world, and as such, each location where it is held receives a significant economic boost from the number of tourists from around the world who visit the venue.

By 2026, Nuevo León will be one of the states hosting the event, and according to forecasts by the state’s Secretary of Economy, Betsabé Rocha, this major event could attract an outlay of $2 billion pesos.

The BBVA Stadium in Guadalupe will host four World Cup matches, which are expected to attract more than 400,000 tourists over the 40 days. The event will feature not only matches but also fan fests, kicking off with a music festival.

“We’re just focusing on the stadium itself. You know, given its capacity and the number of people who will be attending the matches directly, there are more than 400,000.

We’re also working on a Fan Fest that will last 40 days, which will allow us to work for more than just 40 days, and it has to be extended,” the secretary commented.

These will be the World Cup matches in Guadeloupe.
