The Nuevo León 2025 Photography Contest opened its call for entries with a special incentive for participants, as the winning images could be included in the 2026 World Cup.
This initiative, which seeks to encourage citizen participation to showcase the state’s visual heritage, was announced through a press release. Therefore, the call will be open for more than a month to all interested parties.
Carolina Espino, Director of Tourism Promotion, highlighted the initiative’s goal of promoting Nuevo León’s heritage in preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This comes after the state will host several friendly matches during the tournament.
The call will be open from July 3 to August 15 to all residents of the state. The objective is to promote, record, and disseminate the state’s tourism and social heritage.
There are five categories in total in which those interested can participate in this initiative:
Identity and Pride
Scenarios of Nuevo León
Nuclear Personality
Traditions and Culture
Nuclear Innovation
To participate, you must be of legal age and live in Nuevo León. Each person can submit a photograph in the category of their choice.
The jury will be composed of photography specialists, who will select the winners on International Tourism Day, celebrated the last week of September.
The Nuevo León 2025 Photography Contest is an initiative of the Ministry of Tourism, the Council for Culture and the Arts (Conarte), and Nikon Mexico. Thanks to the combined efforts, the winning entries will be featured in the 2026 World Cup. To participate, visit the Conarte website.
