In the first four months of 2025, 454 dispossession crimes were reported in Nuevo León, 51.1 percent of which occurred in four of the state’s 51 municipalities.
This comes after, from January 1 to April 30, based on data from the state Attorney General’s Office, 99 dispossession crimes were reported in Monterrey, 59 in Juárez, 38 in Guadalupe, and 36 in Escobedo.
For a cumulative total of 232 cases across these four municipalities, more than half of the 454 reported so far this year in the state.
As of April 30, the data from the authority show that dispossession crimes have occurred in 31 municipalities in Nuevo León, with 12 of them reporting ten or more cases.
In addition to Monterrey, Juárez, Guadalupe, and Escobedo, the group comprises Apodaca with 32 complaints, García with 28, Pesquería with 24, Santiago with 20, San Nicolás with 15, Cadereyta with 14, El Carmen with 13, and Salinas Victoria with 10.
Furthermore, according to the local Prosecutor’s Office, Zuazua, Montemorelos, and Santa Catarina registered nine cases of dispossession in the first four months of this year.
While in Allende and Linares, the number was five, and in Doctor Arroyo and Doctor González, four.
San Pedro comes in next with three cases filed with the corresponding authorities.
Meanwhile, in Hidalgo, Mina, Galeana, General Terán, and Los Ramones, two crimes of dispossession have been reported so far in 2025.
Finally, five other municipalities have been charged with dispossession: Agualeguas, Ciénega de Flores, General Zaragoza, Sabinas Hidalgo, and Vallecillo.
