Subjects claim to belong to the Cartel del Noreste in a video and are arrested in Nuevo León

“Puro CDN” is part of what was expressed by one of the armed young men who appear in a video, which was recorded in the letters that welcome the municipality of García in Nuevo León. The recording barely exceeds 10 seconds and the men who allegedly appear in it have already been arrested.

The letters mentioned by the subjects are allusive to the Cartel del Noreste, one of the criminal groups that operate in Mexico. While in a recording that circulates on social networks a group of four people pose with their weapons.

It can even be seen that one of those involved has a T-shirt from the movie Scarface, while another wears a sweatshirt with the superhero Spiderman. “We are at your service, pure CDN,” exclaims one of them.

Apparently, the actions were recorded during January 2025, since the mayor of García, Manuel Guerra Cavazos, detailed that the audiovisual material was recorded a few weeks ago. On January 29, the official posted information on his social media about the arrest of four people.

“A few weeks ago, some young people found it easy to record a video showing some firearms in García, they thought that nothing was happening here…” is part of what Guerra Cavazos reported.

In the material shared by the mayor there is a photograph of a black Ford vehicle. In addition, one of the captured people has the garment with the image of Spiderman, while another was wearing the Scarface t-shirt, that is, clothing that matches what appears in the video.

No further details were shared about the detained people such as their names or ages and whether they were carrying any type of substance at the time of their capture.

According to the map published by the State Commission of Human Rights (CEDH) of Michoacán, the Cartel del Noreste is one of the regional criminal groups and according to said document the criminal structure operates in Tamaulipas, Tabasco and Nuevo León.

It should be remembered that on January 16, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC) reported on the arrest of 27 people and the seizure of weapons. after a search of a property located in the municipality of Iturbide, south of Nuevo León.

Part of what was seized on that occasion had the initials CDN and among the people arrested were minors.
