After an armed attack against a patrol car in Aramberri, a municipality in Nuevo León located 3 hours from Saltillo, Mayor Martín Castillo asked the population not to leave their homes to avoid any risky situation.

The events took place on Friday afternoon, when armed civilians fired at patrol car 10 and the uniformed officers repelled the attack. The events only left material damage to some facades and vehicles.

“We ask you nothing more than that if right now we do not have to go out on the street, if there are no urgent things to do, I ask you nothing more than to protect yourself this day and take precautions,” said the mayor in a video posted on his social networks.

He pointed out that in light of the events that took place, the city hall will be guarded by elements of Fuerza Civil and the Mexican Army: “They will shield the municipality for the safety of all of you.”

After the events that took place on Friday, he commented that the balance was zero.

“The event was a confrontation with unit 10 of the municipal police of Aramberri, Nuevo León, with a white result, the boys repelled the aggression,” shared Castillo.

Since the attack, citizens of the Nuevo León municipality expressed their concern about insecurity. Although it is not the first attack on security forces, the population was surprised.

Another confrontation was recorded in October 2023, where two police officers were attacked by armed criminals, who also set fire to the patrol car… in this case, the authorities did have gunshot wounds.
