The rains recorded during Tuesday in the metropolitan area of Monterrey left puddles, stranded cars and some road closures.
Civil Protection of Monterrey reported light to moderate rainfall in the city center, as well as in the western and northern areas.
One of the road closures that was carried out was on Conchello Avenue and San Nicolás, in circulation from north to south.
In addition, PC of Monterrey reported the presence of vehicles stranded due to puddles in the underpass of Paseo de los Leones and Gonzalitos.
“Reports are received informing about people stranded on their vehicle in the puddle in the area,” it indicated.
The water level also caused problems and left vehicles stranded in Lincoln and Gonzalitos, while road closures were carried out in Bernardo Reyes and Luis Mora heading south, as well as Bernardo Reyes and Fidel Velázquez.
For its part, Civil Protection of Nuevo Leon mentioned the presence of heavy rain in the municipality of Santiago, as well as several road closures and the Arroyo Topo Chico at 60 percent of its capacity.
In addition, it highlighted that it received a report of the case of a family trapped in their car at the intersection of Bernardo Reyes and Ruiz Cortines; however, when arriving at the scene the occupants were no longer there.
However, the unit was still at the scene and the site was cordoned off in both directions to avoid risks.
