The event “Nuevo León en Los Pinos” offers visitors an immersive experience in Nuevo León culture with gastronomic, artistic and musical exhibitions.

From this Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25, attendees will be able to enjoy traditional flavors of the northeast, such as roast beef and goat, as well as musical and artistic performances that reflect the cultural diversity of the state.

In his inaugural speech, García Sepúlveda extended a cordial invitation to the capital’s residents to come and learn about and enjoy the activities prepared to commemorate the 200 years of Nuevo León.

“To all the friends of Mexico City, we have prepared this gastronomic plaza so that you can come and try the food from the northeast… and also enjoy the music. Today we are going to have an accordion group accompanied by a symphony,” said the Governor, highlighting the importance of sharing the cultural wealth of the state with the rest of the country.

The program of activities includes the concert of El Gran Silencio on Saturday, an iconic band that fuses regional rhythms with rap, rock and reggae. For the closing ceremony, on Sunday, the Ballet of Monterrey will offer a presentation that will put the finishing touch to this celebratory event.

In addition to gastronomy and music, visitors will also be able to enjoy the art exhibition “A pesar del Paisaje” by artists Saskia Juárez and Rolando Flores, which will be displayed on the second floor of the Casa Miguel Alemán.

After the traditional ribbon cutting, attendees were welcomed with the “Symphonic Accordions” concert, a journey through traditional Nuevo León music that included genres such as polka, huapango and cumbia.
