Visitors swarm Presa La Boca in Nuevo León during long weekend

Hundreds of people packed the La Boca Dam, as there is a drop in the number of Covid-19 cases in recent weeks, and obviously, due to the long weekend.

Monterrey, Nuevo León (March 15, 2021).- For the long weekend, hundreds of people took the opportunity to leave their homes in search of outdoor destinations, one of them was the La Boca Dam, located in the municipality of Santiago, Nuevo Léón.

In the presence of visitors at the La Boca Dam, a photograph went viral on social networks and it shows dozens of cars parked one next to the other.

In addition, an abandoned boat also attracted the visitors’ glances at La Boca Dam, because it was full of birds. Local merchants said they did not know why the boat is there, however there are many versions. The abandoned boat became one more attraction at La Boca Dam this weekend.

On the other hand, the governor of Nuevo León, Jaime Rodríguez “El Bronco”, asks the population not to lower their guard and be cautious.

The virus is still with us and if we are careless, an outbreak could cause us to return to mobility restrictions, Jaime Rodríguez “El Bronco”, governor of Nuevo Leon wrote on Twitter.
