Attorney General of the Republic ratifies request to disallow Tamaulipas governor

After this ratification, the request will be turned over to the Investigating Section to determine whether or not to initiate the process for the violation of Cabeza de Vaca.

The Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) ratified before the Chamber of Deputies the request for violation of the governor of Tamaulipas, Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca, who is accused of organized crime, operation of resources of illicit origin, and tax fraud.

The representatives of the Specialized Unit for Investigation of Operations with Resources of Illicit Origin and Counterfeiting or Currency Alteration, attached to the FGR, arrived around noon at the legislative site to deliver the file, made up of 27 volumes, of the charges against the president of the PAN.

After this ratification, the request will be turned over to the San Lázaro Investigative Section to determine, within a maximum of 70 business days, whether or not to initiate the process of impeachment of the Tamaulipas president.

The Chamber of Deputies, as the accusing body, issues the declaration of provenance but does not judge, it only eliminates the constitutional jurisdiction so that later the public servant can be tried by the judicial authorities.
