The border city was placed among the 15 most violent municipalities in Mexico, which is why it seeks to proceed with this plan
When questioned about the security plan that he had announced for the 15 most violent municipalities in Mexico in December 2020, among which is Tijuana, the president of this country, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, commented that this weekend he will travel to Sonora and Baja California.
Specifically, it will arrive in Hermosillo on Friday, February 19, on Saturday 20 in Tijuana and that same day it will go to La Paz in Baja California Sur.
“I am going to be in Hermosillo and there we are going to supervise the construction of a hospital in Hermosillo, so that it is finished as soon as possible, in May or June,” he mentioned. In addition to that hospital, a National Guard barracks will also be inaugurated in the capital of Sonora.
It is worth mentioning that one of these barracks will also be inaugurated in Tijuana during his visit, the president said.
“We are going to stay overnight in Hermosillo and fly to Tijuana the next day. We are also going to open a barracks in Tijuana, we are reinforcing security, “he said.
Meanwhile, in La Paz, he will rest on Saturday for Sunday to inaugurate a highway and supervise a thermoelectric plant. For their part, Baja California authorities confirmed the arrival of López Obrador, however, the president’s full agenda is not yet available, but he does arrive on Saturday.
